We had the good fortune of connecting with Curtis Greene and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Curtis, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
When none of your options don’t have the potential to produce the vision you have for yourself stick with what does. No one stays I want to making a living to be stuck in the same position for the rest of their lives. But that’s the destiny of a quitter. You see you don’t really quit anything that’s your destiny we my delay it but we cannot walk away when we’re called by a higher power. Your destiny will find it’s way back to you. A person needs to accept that anything that is not a vehicle to transport you to your dreams is not the path you be on. Sometimes dreams change but again our dreams challenge us to find a way to them and quitting on your dream is not a possibility for a person that’s called to do what is said “it can’t be done.”

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m currently an Insurance agent and I sell life, health, retirement, and extended care plans. All my books are still up for sell on Amazon just google “Curtis Christopher Greene” and it will be available. But I’m also committed to writing lyrics I have over 300 verses written ready to be recorded. Once I have all the capital or connections necessary to release music as well as write music for other artists and screenplays you’ll be hearing from me frequently through the years. I don’t see a stop in the future.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spot in the city would be “The Sugar Factory” but I can’t say that I have many more favorite spots. Detroit isn’t the same place I grew up in and business has changed a lot. Hart Plaza festivals beginning of spring-summer are always good and Belle Isle.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First I’d have to say Jesus I was supposed to be done so many times you wouldn’t believe it. My faith continues to drive me most would say I’m insane for believing in something that for in last 17 years that hasn’t come full circle as of yet. But what the unbelievers cannot see is all the things I’m doing by God’s grace that only people with everything working in their favor can do. If you don’t or won’t suffer it you do don’t love it. So I’d have to credit my progression to God. And all of the people who count me out daily more motivation to stay hungry.
