Meet Andrew Hamlet | Producer and Videographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrew Hamlet and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andrew, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk is part of life. There are no guarantees that what you are doing is going to payoff. I think there are ways however to be smart about it. Three questions I always ask myself that help me deal with risk. 1. Does the risk match my goals, core beliefs and brand. I don’t want to risk in areas that don’t further these areas of my business. It communicates the wrong message to my customers and or followers, People like to follow leaders, teams and businesses that have clear goals and direction. Many choices even risky ones that align with your goals give your company and customers a clear vision of what you’re all about.
2. If it’s not in line with my core beliefs it could spread valuable resources and investments into areas I don’t want. Then if something comes along I don’t have those resources to invest into a project I can believe in.
3. If it doesn’t match my brand then I’m fighting myself and confusing my image to social media and all those who follow. If I follow these questions even risk that don’t move by bottom line are not loses but opportunities to strengthen my skills and expand influence of my business in areas of the market place I desire to be instead of chasing profit.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What set Hamlet productions apart is are attention to story. Story where we meet our friends, find out beliefs and choose more directions in life. We don’t want to just bring your product to life in a commercial. We want the world to see the story that’s brought you to this point of wanting to share that product with the world. We tell the story in such a way that people see themselves in the story and they are not longer listening to a story but become part of the story it’s self. It’s not easy. To get a good story you can’t settle something you find on the back of a cereal box. You have to dig deep take the necessary time and effort to tease out the unique story that still connects with everyone. Often times you know the story you want to tell the world. We ‘re not here to chance it but to make sure the message is clear and inviting enough that people believe their story wouldn’t be the same without yours.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A lake shore tours of the smaller towns a long the Lake Michigan, stopping to eat at the small hole in the wall breakfast places or the corner bar in each town. Checking out the countless little air b and b or accommodations along the Lakeshore. Of course no trip along the lake shore would be complete without a fishing trip for Solomon and a color true in the state parks.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to recognize my dad. He passed away this may to cancer. He wasn’t the best sales man, or the business sense. He taught me the most valuable things you can do whether in life you are at. 1. Invest in people. Love, serve and help people it is a recession proof plan in life. Learn to help others and you will almost never find yourself without help when you need it.
2. There is no competition. In life there are only co workers. Learn to be a value to anyone and your circle and it will pay off.
