What habits do you feel helped you succeed?

There is a wealth of research that indicates that certain habits can help increase your productivity, creativity, and/or drive. So, we thought we’d reach out to respected members of our community and ask them what habits they feel helped them succeed.
Any success I’ve had has come from routinely practicing discipline, consistentcy and building relationships with others. This doesn’t only apply to my work of Podcasting but in everyday life. I try to remain consistent and discipline in what I eat, how much and when. I’m discipline with my time and routine because it helps me with maximizing my productivity when it’s time to get things done. The older I get, the more I realize how much strength is in a solid routine. As far as connecting with people, I love connecting with others in the field of podcasting and radio. The most important habits that help me be successful is 1. Putting God 1st and truly feeling like he has blessed me with a gift. 2. For the first 30+ years of my life, I never thought of habits or routines as “life changing.” Now, as the sixth decade of my life fast approaches, I realize how powerful they are. When I changed my habits, and created solid daily routines with those new habits, my attitude and outlook on success was completely transformed. Furthermore, my ability to outperform anything else I had ever done in my first 30+ years was beyond my wildest dreams! Around 10 years ago on New Year’s Eve my PlayStation broke completely. I grew up playing a lot of video games like everybody else but instead of buying a new system I decided it was my New Year’s resolution to quit video games.
