We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Graham and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, what do you want your legacy to be?
A legacy is not merely the material possessions we leave behind, but rather, it is the imprint of our character, our values, and the impact we have on the lives of those we touch. With that, I want to be remembered for the kindness I extend to others. The support I offer to both friends and strangers. And the unwavering love and devotion I have shown to my family. I want to be remembered for my light and spirit.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m most proud of simply trying and stepping outside of my comfort zone. I’ve shared some of the most intricate parts of my life in my books and on my podcast. That has never been easy to do. It has taken audacity and courage. I’ve started over more times than I count and have been at the brink of surrendering to failure. I don’t think overcoming challenges is ever easy. But I’ve always overcome them with courage and grace from God as well as the support of my family. Through challenges, I have learned the boundless capacity of the human spirit for resilience. They have shown me that even in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds, there is an inner strength that rises to meet adversity, transforming it into an opportunity for triumph. They have taught me the power of adaptability. In the face of change and uncertainty, I have learned to adjust my course, to find new perspectives, and to uncover hidden reservoirs of creativity and resourcefulness.Challenges have been my greatest teachers in the school of empathy. They have allowed me to see the struggles of others with a clearer, more compassionate gaze.I have come to understand that challenges do not define me, but rather, they refine me. They strip away the unnecessary, revealing the core of my values, passions, and true self. They force me to confront my fears, to question assumptions, and to emerge stronger, wiser, and more authentic.Above all, challenges have instilled in me an unyielding belief in the power of God.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I don’t have a definite answer. I would cultivate an experience based on their interests. I would do my best to incorporate unique activities and local favorites/staples of the city to give them a memorable experience.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I undoubtedly say my family. In every step of my journey, my family has been my pillar of strength. Their belief in me, even when I have doubted myself, has been a guiding light through the darkest times in my life. Their words of encouragement have been the fuel that propelled me forward, even when the path seemed daunting. I can’t forget their tough love, especially from my parents. The honesty that sometimes stung, but was always rooted in a deep desire for my growth and well-being. It was their unyielding belief in my potential that pushed me to rise above challenges and become the best version of myself. My family has always been my greatest cheerleaders, mentors, and sounding board. They created the foundation for my morals and fundamental principles in life. Through their collective wisdom, I have learned invaluable lessons about resilience, compassion, and the strength that comes from a loving family. With every achievement, every milestone, bears the imprint of their love and guidance.
