We had the good fortune of connecting with Karleigh Swanson and Abby Zuiderveen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Karleigh and Abby, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
The modeling industry, like many other fields, has its share of well-known negative aspects, but it’s important to acknowledge that there are also many positive aspects that often go unnoticed.
Modeling provides a platform for artistic expression and collaboration. Models have a major role, along with photographers, designers, and makeup artists, working together to create visually stunning and artistic imagery.
Also, contrary to what most who are not in the modeling industry believe, modeling can empower individuals, helping them build self-confidence and self-assurance by embracing their unique attributes and identities.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We started our talent agency purely from passion and drive. There are SO many aspects we are proud of. Some of the most important ones being able to provide emotional support and guidance to our models. This includes helping them navigate the challenges and pressures of the industry, such as body image issues and mental health concerns, navigating what large market agency may be the best fit for them. Every single talent we take on becomes a part of our Endless family and every one of their paths are different and ever changing but we assure them that we are there for all the ups and downs that come with pursuing their dreams.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Start the days with coffee at Lyon Street Cafe, Madcap, Lantern. Days spent at the GRAM, Frederick Meijer Gardens, Blandford Nature Center, strolling around east town.
Meals at Forty Pearl, Terra, Pind, San Chez, Butcher’s Union, Donkey, Littlebird.
Drinks at Post Off, Sidebar or a bottle of wine to take home from Leon and Son.
Antique shopping on Century Ave and the Petrichor Market.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
