We had the good fortune of connecting with Japri Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Japri, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?

I was born and mostly raised in Jackson Michigan. The youngest of four children I spent a lot of time with my parents. My beautiful grandmother Mildred Elizabeth Anderson was married to my grandfather Eddie Lee Anderson. An admirable solider turned preacher and his lovely wife is who raised my mother Laura into a giving person and always willing to help others, mainly the children. Those anchor values are the same ones my mom instilled in me and I’m grateful for that.

Seeing my parents help guide the youth in our community and giving them things they may been missing at home such as love, a mother or a father, maybe no home and absents parent while another was on drugs. Harsh reality was seen early in my childhood though my parents protected our minds from things that was happening in our environment though all couldn’t be hidden or sugar coated neither. My parents gave us the best of both worlds, we grew up in the church and was a strong knitted family but once my grandmother was laid to rest the family events or that “family quilt” began to unraveled fairly quick. Before I knew it the big family from our adopted side of the family, my mother side, and even people we became family with by bond became thinner.

Throughout all of that was happening my parents kept us strong in bond, mind, and even will so as siblings we had our times but it was much love growing up. Coming from being family oriented to it all coming to a halt kind of hit hard but I also had my own children, so it’s like I was my mother all over again when it was just us as children and her. This is what also reminds me of how strong my grandmother and mother are. Seeing my parents and my granny Mudea always helping even during hardship with a smile on their faces is admirable! This is one of the reasons I want to give my community the same outlet especially for our youth because I understand it all starts at home!

Things have changed tremendously and some for the better too, but those days are what made me and memories I cherish! Since a young child I’ve always wanted to have a community home for families to establish shelter, safety, food, education, healthcare and employment. Having a kitchen area and bathroom in each room along with a gym, cafeteria for gatherings during holidays and birthdays is what I imagine “A Place To Call Home” will be like.

Although Litty Wellness Spa & Lounge is no home by any means but it does give you an experience to help balance your mental and setup paradise on the go, home away from home if you will! We offer hot tea with natural flowers infused to stimulate, relax or bring clarity, whatever your need is you could get your fulfillment with our services. So many of us didn’t have the outlet of expressing their feelings without it being considered rude or talking back. Keeping family secrets in the family was the rule and letting others in family business was look down on. So much of that unstructured and unbalancing norms became habit causing trauma in their childhood now adults suffering from those same traumas.

Then we have adulthood were it’s not any easier. So much weight is placed on the shoulders mentally till it becomes physical and that weight needs to be cleansed both mentally and physically too! The foundation I seen built at a point and I know can be brought back into present times to help us all give ourselves balance is our goal. Natural practices, genuine love and a balance between ourselves is key.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

My heart, it’s purely for the people! As much as I want my business to be a successful franchise I rather know my community is getting the help they need mentally. Even if this means giving away my products and services for free to NPOs, schools, youth programs and other healthcare organizations. I’m most proud of myself for not giving up even when all odds are against me! That’s why L. I. T. T. Y. IDentity Llc was born because of my tenacity and we’re currently Living In The Tenacious Years! It wasn’t easy at all getting where I’m at today as I myself battle against mental health issues. I had a lot of No’s until I gave myself that one yes! I’m not trying to sound conceited but it’s nothing that will stop me from reaching the pinnacles I plan to reach and the empire that I will build.

I’ve learned so many lessons, what I thought was losses was actually doors opening and dead weight being removed. Giving myself the gift of self love, valuing myself and learning that I am worthy to be loved, helped and even using my life story to help those who has traveled a similar path was the best thing I could have learned. Once doing so on my wellness journey it helped me understand others and their traumas even more clearly. To be honest is what most need even when it hurts. For someone to not just communicate clearly but having understanding and that gives us all better outcomes, habits, wisdom, guidance and compassion to pass to one another.

Every time I meet a new friend or lotus if you will I instantly connect to their energy knowing we were suppose to cross each other paths with purpose. I thrive off that energy and I thank each one because that sparks ideas on how I can continuously build my community and gather resources for that individual specifically. Doing so I know I was part of them either taking their first step to their wellness journey or obtaining more direction to continue on with faith of them being successful. That is exactly what I want our brand Litty Wellness Spa & Lounge to be know for, shedding light and giving pure energy to help them be the best they can be in all aspects!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my friends or family was coming to live a little or relax I would definitely recommend us, Litty Wellness Spa & Lounge. Also places like RJs Metropolitan Ice Cream Co or Chilangos lol, food is my love language too.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
After my mother and the Gods I have to give Xavier, P. I. F. F. Magazine and Rí from Royal Temple Productions a shoutout, they never stop believing in me and supporting my journey! Seeing how hard I was pushing to share my story to inspire others through multiple channels like music, mental health guidance and more they stood behind me and help me get my autobiography published titled, The Untold Story of Primadona TXF. Now in a few people homes and my own hometown district library in Jackson Michigan. I can’t forget Kyla & Max Pressiner either, starting off shooting my photos to modeling for a great cause and even Max marketing company Be now media helping with our business and marketing plan. Last but never least my children Jhavae, Jhetta and Sire Joviay Anderson they’re the reason I keep going and the reminders why I can never stop helping my community and the youth!
