Meet Teshima Gaines | Heavenly Beauty Kueen Boutique Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Teshima Gaines and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Teshima, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
The most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make for my business was like really strategically planning out my target audience and then just doing trial runs of what people like or what people didn’t like. So, the best way was finding out what items sold the best and just really going through all that data to analyze what makes my brand stands. Creating Heavenly Beauty Kueen Boutique, LLC has become my baby. I’m very dedicating to finding new tips and tricks that I can use to make creating my business and getting people to know my business more. This business was started when I was a new fresh mom and I looked in my closet and realized that I really didn’t have any clothes that really fit it or stuff just seem baggy and I wasn’t feeling my prettiest. So when I created it HBKBOUTIQUE I mostly thought of new moms who are staying at home for the first 6 months before returning to work or who are stay at home full time that mostly you know just wear like a lot of lounge around clothing,but still looking out together.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
First, off I would like to say that I have never been a great drawer, but when I use the software Canva and makes creating flyers and everything that I need like logos for my business so much easier. I’m someone who loves to do like interior design and just really think outside the box when it comes to creating and I think having different software and different programs that are available really just put the icing on the cake. Using Canva has helped me take my business to a whole nother level, things are more professional they look more clean cut and all in all this is what I look for when running a business.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting the area and wanted to you know have the best time of her life first things first I will look up what live bands or concerts were going on. Second I’ll look up restaurants that we may have not tried yet that you know she’s might have been talking about. Will probably do what most girls do go to the spa and just relax and then afterwards and do our favorite thing by going to go visit more restaurants and just trying out good food. Many of my friends really enjoyed places like the arcades and just places where you can be really yourself and just down to earth.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to take the time to dedicate my shout out to my wonderful husband. My husband has been writing my corner he is my biggest cheerleader. Anytime, I’m coming up with a new idea or something I want to do for my business I talk it over with him first just to make sure my ideas not either farfetched or not realistic and his feedback that he gives me is such a blessing. His feedback is such a big help, because it kind of helps me to simmer down or just focus on what matters the most. So, Shout-out to my Husband Andre Gaines for being my number 1 supporter.
