Hi Freddy, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking risk is an element important to reach success. Playing it safe will slow your growth and prevent you to reach your full potential.
 

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m Freddy Djogo, a Sr. Accountant and Financial System Analyst owning Refund Express LLC, a Tax Advisory firm. I’m also teaching financial and budgeting tips through my network. Furthermore, Refund Express LLC is living for a wealthier Afro community.

Hard work, consistency, and self-confidence got me to where I am today business-wise. The journey is not easy; it was even harder in the beginning. Back in 2016 when everything started, my biggest challenge was to burst out of my shell and expose my knowledge to the world. Being vulnerable and accept hard critics were my deepest fear.

Along the way I cared less about the negative opinion of others and cared more on honing my craft and seeking constructive criticisms.

At the end, I want the world to know that Refund Express LLC is striving to build a wealthier Afro community. Why? The Afro community has been the poorest in the world for centuries and it needs a financial revival.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’ve freshly moved to Austin, TX from Toledo, OH. Austin is a beautiful and growing city. Downtown Austin is the go-to place if you’re looking for fun. With its plethora of live music events or even business conferences for young entrepreneurs, Austin won my heart.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First, I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my family that always believed in my potential. Second, I would like to dedicate that shoutout to my partner that always provided me with her support and innovative ideas; Third, I would like to dedicate that shoutout to my closest friends that always shared their constructive criticisms and hope towards my craft.
