In the sense of life or work… ?

Keep going. Always! I always ask myself, would you rather regret that you never tried something or tried and realized that something is not for you. I think failure is key. Failure is learning in disguise. There are so many times where I have given up or wanted to, and sometimes it takes time to bounce back. When you’re a creative, you need that time to reflect and redirect. The best ideas come to you when you have a clear mind and you’ve learned from mistakes you’ve made in the past. Then it’s nonstop. There are people who give up as soon as they suffer their first failure.
And there are people who refuse to give up even after suffering failures repeatedly.
The wise people are those who neither give up too quickly, nor they refuse to give up at the right time.

I think most people experience significant challenges in their lives. To meet those challenges and overcome obstacles molds character. Challenges throughout our lives ground us in reality, test our resolve, help develop coping skills and provide a sense of humility. As we come to realize that as much as we may want to accomplish certain goals, sometimes significant challenges or obstacles may seem insurmountable and tempt us to abandon them. This often leads to a sense of guilt, self-doubt and diminished sense of self-worth. Yet under some circumstances giving up may be the best choice in the long run. Why beat yourself up? Why continue to wear yourself out, expending enormous amounts of mental, physical, and often financial resources to attain a goal that after all the effort and sacrifice now seems impossible? I think it may be helpful to examine the dynamics of persistence and perseverance versus throwing in the towel. Read more>>
