24 hours in a day, 168 hours in a week. Junior investment bankers regularly work 80-90 hours a week. Many other high profile professions require the same level of commitment. Often those on the outside claim that working 80-90 hours a week is bad/wrong/terrible/silly/etc but we’ve spoken with so many folks who say working that much has been the best decision of their life – it allowed them to develop a deep and strong skill set far faster than would have been possible otherwise. In other words, by working 2x the hours, they were able to generate 5x or more the rewards. And depending on where you are in your career, investing heavily in your skills and competence can pay dividends for a long time.

Tyler Ingersoll | Photographer

Something that is most responsible to my success is people. I’ve received a lot of opportunities that I wouldn’t have come across on my own. Its the connections I’ve made with the people I’ve crossed paths with that grant me the opportunity to do things I’ve never done before. For example, I’ve been doing photography for a couple of years, but I never could of imagined myself doing equestrian sports photography if not for the people I’ve met; its brought me tons of opportunities in my photography career. Angela Hines | CEO & Founder of Aim To Inspire

My passion of working with the special needs community has been a substantial factor in the success of Aim To Inspire as well as my faith in God. Honestly, I had never desired to become a business owner. I had just experienced significant changes in my life following my divorce and I was prepared to relocate and start a new profession. However, God revealed that was not his plan for me. He wanted me to create a program and a prom for the special needs community. As an educator for over 30 years with my current role being an employment supports specialist, I was already aware of the gap in services for young adults with special needs in our community. God providing me with the necessary resources to create Aim To Inspire and my love for teaching young adults with special needs is what fabricated the effective program we have today! Read more>>
