We had the good fortune of connecting with Austin Pariseau and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Austin, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
One of our favorite quotes was said by Steve Jobs (one of the founders of Apple). It goes, “The people who think they are crazy enough to change the world are the ones who do.” There can be a lot taken from this and a lot taken from the inspiring life and career of Steve Jobs, but the morale of the story is that the ones who change the world are the ones who see what most people do not. The people who change the world are able to envision a world that is better and filled with the value their product, service, or overall business is going to provide. The beauty of entrepreneurship is the fact that most successful entrepreneurs are looked at as crazy people until the world starts to understand their overall vision. Once the world starts to believe in something, there is no turning back.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Gas Money LLC is a platform that connects high school and college aged young adults with local home owners in need of simple tasks done around their homes. Some of the services on the Gas Money App are lawn mowing, car detailing, furniture moving, and over 30 more to choose from. My business partner and I started making money in high school by going door to door to see if anyone needs anything done around their homes. We were inspired to further that simple idea because of the immense positive feedback we received in high school from homeowners and how much they loved seeing the younger generations working hard. That simple idea has been transformed into a platform available in many areas around the state of Michigan with plans to expand to Florida in 2024. This has been no easy task, especially because we are founders of a tech company with little to no coding/tech knowledge, but there is always a way. Whenever you have an idea, there are going to be things you do not know how to do or have no idea where to start and what we have found to be the best solution is to ask for help. You can always hire out something so you can be as efficient with your time as possible, but most importantly you will only figure out where to start if you reach out to someone that can potentially help with the problem you have. Our company is on a mission to provide entrepreneurial experience, leadership attributes, and overall life education to young adults around the world. As we continue to build the Gas Money brand we will be branching out in to many different angles of education to show young people that they can learn so many necessary things outside of standard k-12 education. In this fast changing world the most powerful piece of the puzzle has stayed the same, that piece is knowledge. Providing more ways for the next generations to absorb as much beneficial knowledge as possible will provide for the most hard working and innovative world we can imagine, and we hope Gas Money can be a little piece of that overall vision.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
It is very difficult to pin point one person because there have been so many amazing mentors and supporters along the way. So I guess I will focus on what started everything which is a book called “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”. This book did not only change my life, it did something exponentially greater, it changed my perspective. When I read this book I was in high school on a camping trip with my family. At the time I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with my life and the only idea I had was to be a physical therapist because I went through an injury and thought it was kind of cool how much value they provide to people with their services. Once I got my hands on that book I didn’t put it down until I was done. It showed me everything that all of the schooling I had went through in my life couldn’t, and opened my eyes to the fact that YOU can build a life for yourself and do that by providing great value to the world. I do believe everything happens for a reason because just a few months after that I met my business partner and the rest is history.
