Meet DeAnna Gantt | Celebrity Hairstylist and Salon Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with DeAnna Gantt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DeAnna, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
I’m more than Happy to say after 10 years of Salon Ownership I’m aware of what my end goal is . I recently completed a 15 week course with SpringGr of Grand Rapids Michigan which challenged me to dig deep into my business and business goals …The end goal of it all is to end my career working in TV and Film. I recently started to study what it takes to become a Commercial Hairstylist…After completing my course with the Head Hairstylist Camille Friend of Wakanda Forever and The Mermaid , TV and Film would allow me to apply all of my knowledge and skills to the TV and Film Set .

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I consider Hair Art..From creating High Fashion styles to creating everyday looks for the everyday working individual.

1 thing that sets me apart is the level of energy I have in making sure I keep myself educated on all the latest and new trends with in the Industry. I am most proud of my recent accomplishment with getting Licensed for the State of California to further my career in TV/Film..After being behind the chair for 25 years…I was ready for a new challenge.

Even though my 25years in Beauty had its ups and downs..I wouldn’t trade it for the world..It allowed me to get better with time management, building on my skills as well as building a reputation for my Brand that speaks for itself…I LOVE HAIR…and I LOVE to Love on as many different hair textures as possible..

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite spots within the city includes Forty Acres Soul Food Spot, Fredrick Meijer Gardens and a variety of Wine Houses within the city.

Everytime someone visits from out of town..I always make sure to show them how Beautiful the State of Michigan is.

This organization thrives on entrepreneurship. I was granted admission into the 15 week Business Accelerator course which focused on the things Small Business Owners forget about..

From examining my current Target Market to looking deeply into my Personal and Business Fiances. I started my business backwards 10 years ago, SpringGR helped me clean up areas in my business that was foggy. I recommend SpringGR to any and every Small Business Owner looking for help in getting there business started to those who are seasoned Small Business Owners.
