We had the good fortune of connecting with Manuela Koziarz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Manuela, what are you inspired by?
I am inspired by the women around me, my mom, my friends, co-business owners, etc. I must say I have a pretty good group of women who inspire me on a daily, watching their hustle makes me want more for myself and my business. Watching them turn something they are passionate about into reality is so cool to see. I get inspired by others around me seeing their ideas and come up with my own.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is a collaboration of Michigan made vendors who sell their handmade items at my store. I am proud of how far i have come in less than a years time and transformed the whole store into my vision. I got here today by getting offered an amazing deal to have my own store…it came out of the blue but I am grateful for the opportunity. It definitely wasn’t easy but lets be honest – nothing comes easy! Every day there is a new challenge to over come and i try to deal with it the best way I know how. Lots of lessons along the way – but one important one is never give up on your dream, dont let anyone tell you you are doing something wrong because you are doing it your way.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
we would spend some time downtown detroit – showing them all the sites / possibly go to a hockey game or baseball game depending on the time of the year … we would have dinner at greektown. Go to the DIA have some tacos at bakersfield and dessert at for love of sugar! we would also go to Lexington for the day – spend time walking the cute downtown checking out the shops, grab pizza at sweetwater.
Go to Mount Clemens, show my shop – have lunch at Maes and Clementines or Delightful Donuts as a treat while sipping on coffee from Blackcat.
Visit to Greenfield Village/dinner at fords garage
Visit the Ford House and enjoy lunch or dinner at the Continental Restaurant

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Parents – always supporting me and believing in me and helping turn my dream into reality. My Friends – always supporting me and always showing up when I need help.
Michelle – for being my voice of reason and the best advice giver and going along with all my crazy ideas
to everyone who have shown me support and helped me when i needed it the most! Becuase of you all I am where I am!
