Mr. Joe Walker | Award-Winning Writer, Media Personality & Event Host

For more than two decades I’ve used words – written and spoken – to encourage, empathize, educate, and entertain in our increasingly indirect-contact, social networking society. Being a compulsively creative writer with roles as a media personality and public figure, anything I scribe and say, professionally and personally, is at risk of immediate scrutiny. Read more>>

Phil Almaki | Entrepreneur & CEO Papa’s Pizza & BBQ

Habits are the base of success, without forming strict habits it is almost impossible to succeed. The habits that helped me the most were setting small goals for myself to be better, staying motivated, and learning from my mistakes. Another big thing that helped me was being consistent. I remember when I opened up my first store I was there everyday opening and closing to make sure everything was done perfectly. Putting in the work and showing up for yourself and holding yourself accountable is the #1 thing you can do to help yourself succeed. You have to develop a hustle and give your all to go after whatever you set your mind to. Once you have that, the sky is the limit. Read more>>

Sowmya Sridhar | Artist & Human Resource Professional

The importance of building layer by layer, one step at a time. It is easy to get pulled in many directions by exciting new ideas for projects and urgent requests from people you love. But I’ve learnt that staying with an idea for an extended period of time boosts creativity and ultimately results in creating something that is not only unique but also brings out ideas/elements which you didn’t even think about in the first draft. All of my best work has come on projects where I started off with something in mind, but kept building on the idea over an extended period of time to a point where the end result was on a whole different level from what I had first imagined. Nick Kennerly | Musician

I chose to pursue an artistic career because my life would have little meaning otherwise. Chelsea Perry | Wife + Mom + Sewer

I’ve always been a creative person – even as a child – I saw beauty then and still do, in the small things. My creative dreams snuffed out by reality, it wasn’t until I was in my thirties, a wife and mother that I found a passion and was able to create a small business that fulfills my creative outlet, allows me to work with beautiful repurposed fabrics and provide small glimpses of beauty in people’s everyday lives.
