Meet Mia L. T. Sharfner | Owner & Visionary of Sipping Inspirations

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mia L. T. Sharfner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mia L. T., we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business stemmed from a desire to create a memorable experience for women, restoring a sense of community grace and poise through the art of tea. Inspired by the influential women in my life, including my great-aunt, grandmother, mother, aunts, and sisters, I sought to turn my passion for tea into a business venture. I envisioned a space where individuals could gather, connect, and indulge in the timeless ritual of tea, fostering a sense of elegance and camaraderie within the community.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

What sets Sipping Inspirations apart is our dedication to craftsmanship and creativity. We don’t just serve tea. We craft experiences that captivate the imagination and ignite the senses from custom blends infused with exotic flavors to our all-natural juices. Educating our customers on the overall history of tea. My journey with Sipping Inspirations has been shaped by a combination of factors, including the guidance of mentors, support from family, and a deep sense of faith. building and growing a business like Sipping Inspirations certainly comes with its challenges, so I wouldn’t say it was easy there were times when I faced setbacks and counter obstacles and had to navigate through uncertainty however, what made the journey fulfilling was the passion I have for what I do and the belief in the vision I had for the business. It’s important to acknowledge and celebrate achievements along the way whether it’s reaching a milestone landing a new client or receiving positive feedback. I’ve learned to take time to celebrate both big and small wins. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate this interview to several important individuals in my life who have played pivotal roles in shaping my journey as an entrepreneur. Firstly, I extend my deepest gratitude to my great-aunt Farrel, whose introduction to the elegance and grace of fine things, particularly tea, ignited my passion for creating memorable experiences. My grandmother Lillian and my mother, aunts, and sisters have been constant sources of inspiration, showcasing resilience in the face of adversity and encouraging me to persevere. I am immensely grateful for the unwavering support of my two daughters, Chelsea and Alexis, whose assistance has been invaluable in the development of my business. Lastly, I fondly remember my dear sister-in-love Angela, whose enthusiasm and readiness to support my vision were truly inspiring. Though she’s no longer with us, her spirit continues to guide me, and i dedicated my first event in 2018 to her memory.
