We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeffrey Daniels and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeffrey, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
One of the things that have fueled my success and growing favor with many amazing people I’ve met in my life is God. I have to give the glory to him. There was a lot of circumstances and situations that could not have been handled or even brought to life without him.

Being an artist, you’ve gotta have inspiration from somewhere. I always ask God to guide me through my lyrics, my visuals, and my creativity in general.

There’s really no me without the higher power. I like to call it the “Movie” method. We all have a detailed and specified biopic of our own lives, but the difference is that our tape is still rolling. God is my director, because he guides my footsteps through life. God is my writer, because he wrote my story before I was even given the role to star in this life he has given me. He controls the set, and has blessed me with the gift of life to star in this movie he’s made for me.

Something that ties into my script in my movie is the instructions of patience, love, kindness, and care for others. God has always made sure people looked out for me, so I like to reciprocate that. I always like to make sure people have a great experience working with me. I love collaboration and I’m the kind of guy that instantly makes a statement in most rooms I’m in, just off of my presence. I don’t take credit for that, it’s all Jesus.

The reason I’m able to do that is simply because of the fact that I always stand for leaving my ego outside of those rooms, and fully being present in the best way possible to connect with whoever I am working or speaking with in any setting.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I grew up listening to such a plethora of music. From the deepest roots of gospel to the most profound R&B of the early 2000’s, I was hooked to things most kids weren’t when listening to music. When my mom played “Unthinkable” by Alicia Keys, and “Pretty Wings” by Maxwell, I imagined myself making the beat as the song played. I’d close my eyes in the backseat when I sung the words, with the imagination of making that beat. I saw the drums, the 808s, the hi-hats, everything.

I used to write raps and songs back in the 8th grade, and tried to get all my friends to rap and sing so I could make a label. And yes, at 14 years old, I was asking my friends to sign to my label.

It wasn’t the label creation that drew me, it was my passion for the creative process of making ART. I wanted to know the other side of what a regular listener hears in a song.

After getting a MacBook for Christmas in 2020, I downloaded Fl Studio and taught myself how to make what I heard in my mind. Little did I know I’d get the hang of it instantly, allowing my talent to sell over 50 beats.

That same year, I heard “Jesus Is King” by Kanye West, and It birthed a new love for Hip-Hop within me. From production to lyrics, I was slowly becoming a rapper.

Coming in the game on a remix wasn’t the ideal introduction to my career that I wanted, but it gave me practice. I make music differently. I hear music differently.

What separates me from a lot of my peers In my generation of rap is where my dedication lies, versus where a lot of others do. My dedication to music is deeper than making hits, it’s about making people feel loved. The love behind me producing 2 sold out school music programs in my highschool years was to bring people together, as well as showing my demographic that we can be something with whatever talent you have. I’ve met so many amazing people simply from taking the step to make something that other people were scared to create.

I want to take my writing, production, and overall artistry to the next level in this next chapter of my career. I have just stepped in the age of 18 years old, becoming a full legal man in this world. I learned that I have a mission and a calling to represent my culture respectfully and be the image of what I want us men to look like. That includes affirming generational wealth, confidence, self respect, and growing stronger with my relationship with God in the content within my music. Setting a tone for not just my own life and brand, but for my future children and many generations to come.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
What a great question.

Currently living Tampa, I had to learn a new world essentially. We always had hot spots in Michigan, especially in Downtown Detroit.

Being around palm trees everyday is something I always wanted. Having access to so many beaches and places is incredible and such a great relief sometimes.

I always tell people that downtown Tampa makes you want to be better. Financially, physically, etc. You just see beautiful girls, incredible fit people, and amazing homes and condos everywhere. It’s always special being in places where I can be inspired.

I’d definitely take my friends down to The Wharf, which is a nice getaway spot with food and activities down near the riverwalk.

It’s really the people that make the place. Amazing food trucks with jumbo fried shrimp, veggie burgers, waffle fries, and anything and everything you can drink. It’s a great time.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So many different people deserve a page in my book of life. There has been so many blessings and angels God has sent me in my life to better my journey.

I wanna just acknowledge my parents, my siblings, my grandparents, my friends, and my teachers and past faculty members in many of my schools who have inspired me to follow my dream.

So many people I’ve been close to have tried to gently “pat” away my dreams of becoming one of the biggest music magnets and performers of all time. Told me that a $40 billion dollar net worth was something cute to say, but wasn’t attainable.

What I’ve learned is that you have to keep people around you who makes things happen when they say it. Having that support in my journey has become more than enough for me. It’s my Gatorade that keeps me going to reach that blessing.
