Meet Brandon Toth | Online Marketing & Content Creation, Show Host, and Photographer/Videographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Toth and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandon, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Well, Tral Productions, the show hosting company I started, was somewhat of an accident! A few of my friends were DJ’s and were always looking for an excuse to play a show. I decided to host my first ever event called “Forever Friends Festival” which was really just a basement show for those friends to throw down some music. I rented some quality equipment from friends and business and made it happen! Lost some money, but it was all worth it after the show. By the end of the night, I knew it was a passion I had to pursue. Now I am nearly a year in with so much work to be done, but so much progress made I couldn’t stop making these events happened it I tried! I have built such a network that between Photography/Videography which I do at live events for friends and for fun, and hosting show’s, the fans would demand another show come eventually! One of the happiest accidents I ever ran into!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I actually went to school for Marketing/Advertising and do it as my fulltime job! These have really been a strong too to use as leverage as it is super important to know not just how to do something but why your are doing it, along with the impacts those choices have either a day, a week, or even years down the road in which my formal training has offered a lot of useful habits in. Not to mention the importance of accommodating to audience goes far beyond the initial analytics you see on social media. School also gave me the outlets to learn the best ways of creating lasting friendships and relationships outside of the standard business practices. Working with people you trust will always be an easier hurdle to clear than someone who just wants to throw money at a situation.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If one week was enough to show someone a fraction of my life it would go a little something like this –
Day 1: Nice and easy day showing them around Ortonville, Mi. A small town where I grew up where the chances of you accidentally running into a dirt road are much higher than the average town! We would hit some of the prime locations like Casa Migos Mexican Restaurant, show them the small downtown, and maybe head over to Clarkston to show them the county park we have out that way.
Day 2: We go to the best mall in Michigan, Great Lakes Crossing. This mall has a bit of everything from clothes, to nice food, an Aquarium and even LEGOLAND.
Day 3: We hit the best coffee spot around A Bean to Go. Best home made coffee I have ever had. By this point I would probably be falling behind on some work so I would show them a bit of what I do behind the scenes like conference calls, meetings, editing videos, and sharing content with my social media
Day 4: We hit up the dispensaries in the area! Being that he’s out of town, we could rack up some free weed with all the first time buyer deals we could rack up! Then we hit taco bell as one does and possibly hit MJR in waterford to catch the newest movie (Hopefully the New Shrek).
Day 5: FRIDAY!!! That means we party down at the club! Weather it be Crofoot, Elektricity, Tangent, or even my home venue, Lightning Rounds, we will go out on the town, continue to network with new people and establish the friendships I have been fostering for the past year. While I’m out, i gather content to post to my social media and youtube pages so the world can see how cool my friends are!
Day 6: Wake up, Edit videos from the night before, upload and make my social post sharing it to my followers, then do it all again tonight!
Day 7: I edit and SLEEP! Those 2 nights in a row tend to ware me out. That and if I try an party again, I am not making it to work on Monday!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
This is definitely a tough one to nail down for me. I could say the guys at Glu3 Inc who hosted the first dubstep shows I frequented. I could bring up Anomali, a local DJ for letting me use his home for my first ever show. I could thank Jessica, who picked me up to promote for Elektricity as the first group I worked with. Maybe Skrillex for making the music that got me invested in the scene. But, if there was any people who made me feel like this was home, it has to be my brothers Ian Hart (HartAttack) and Joshua Mills (D-TOX). Both amazing DJ’s in their own right, but also staples of this community. I remember after my first show Ian invited me to his home and let us hang out while he through down some dubstep in his home studio not 24 hours after meeting me. Then there’s Josh who outright welcomed me to the family, a memory that will never disappear on me.
