We had the good fortune of connecting with Arielle Laws and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Arielle, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was a luxury fashion executive in my last life. After nearly 15 years in New York City, her emotional and physical health was drained. That manifested as chronic migraines, fatigue & brain fog, irritability, gut dysfunction, making it challenging to function optimally during the day, and difficult to fall (and stay) asleep at night.

It took some years to build up the courage to lift out of the traditional employment model and into private practice. After getting married and moving to Detroit in 2017, I saw first-hand the many ways nutrition affects a person’s health status.

I became pregnant with my son in 2019 and was immediately bombarded with protocols to follow and an exhaustive list of “don’ts.” And, in 42 weeks of pregnancy no one asked about the quality of food I was consuming. Actually, there were zero conversations about nutrition altogether. I knew there had to be a less overwhelming way to be healthful. And there is!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My most valued identities are those of a mom and a nutritionist. Each of these distinctions compel me to meet folks precisely where they’re at, to listen to their stories, understand their background, and to recognize their reproductive dreams into sustainable goals.

I believe in bridging the gap between evidence-based research and intuitive clinical practice that centers you as the primary decision maker. The work we’ll do together will be crafted specifically for you: sometimes lighthearted, other times deep-seated, but always growth oriented.

Preventive care is my passion, and if you’re here, I’m pretty sure it’s yours too. If you’ve known fertility struggles, pregnancy or postpartum complications, experience recurrent miscarriage, or just feel stuck in a painful menstrual cycle, I want to work alongside you.

You will be cared for by a master’s degree qualitied nutrition practitioner who specializes in fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and women’s health conditions. No more seeing generalists for your reproductive nutrition support. Your comprehensive head-to-toe [virtual] assessments and nutritional analyses will last 45-60 minutes; the average 14 minutes a traditional practitioner will see you answering 1-3 questions.

Perhaps most importantly, you will be the primary decision maker in your care protocol. You’ll understand my thought process in arriving to any food or supplement protocol. You will thoroughly understand your journey.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Kamaria Washington of Pelvic Noire; Ashley Huntley of Moonstone Doula Care; Domonique & Shared of Northstar Birthing Services
