Hi Brandon, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I believe in risk taking, as an entrepreneur it’s crucial to take risks and bet on yourself. That’s what brings me joy with my brand is that I’m not scared to risks and try something new, if it works I have a lot to gain from it and if it don’t then I have a lot to learn from it, which in my opinion it’s a win win situation. For an example my last release was my first collection, I created a good summer collection which was sleeveless shirts and tracksuit pants. Long story short I learned that a lot of people don’t like wearing sleeveless shirts but my designs for the shirts was well received, I can easily just create a regular tee shirt with the same design or add something new to it, sell it and I’m pretty sure the results will be a lot better . Taking risks is key and vital gaining the experience of just trying to see if your ideas will work is better than just not trying at all.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My brand is all about originality and being yourself. I want people to know it’s perfectly ok to be you, and do the things you love to do, if you have the opportunity to do it at a high level or get paid from it, you should follow through with it. My brand motto is “find your wave and trust your intuition” I believe that if you find something that resonates with you and it brings you joy, you should do it. No matter what the world says because this world follows those who aren’t afraid to break the rules, it’s not an easy thing to do being a young entrepreneur/ creative. I face a lot of downs more than I see ups, but thats what life is all about in my opinion it’s the experience and learning which will eventually lead me to become a better person, leader, and creative. I’m very proud about how consistent and dedicated I am to improve the quality of clothing I release and the quality of my photoshoots. I wouldn’t learn how to care so much about it if I didn’t take the chance to learn.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend is coming into town they already know that I’m going to invite them out to my favorite restaurant which is “Irie Kitchen”. The best restaurant in Grand Rapids hands down, they have homemade lemonade (which is now sold in stores) all the food are organic and fresh. I always tell all of my friends to come to irie kitchen

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I will like to shoutout my a friend, a brother Oso. Without him I wouldn’t be able to do what I love to do which is dj’ing, he gifted me a MacBook and a dj controller for free, he helped me on how to dj and gave me so much advice throughout my journey. I am grateful to have someone like him in my life!
