We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Perry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, what do you attribute your success to?
Understanding define, learn, do. This is understanding the value of mentors. I learned early in adulthood to first define the life I want then find someone who has achieved it, learn from them then go out and do what was taught. So understanding that and also being teachable has paved the way for a lot of what my wife and I have been able to accomplish.

What should our readers know about your business?
There is two companies I help build-but both fall under the category of sales. I was fortunate enough to get involved in a direct sales company early in my career. There was obviously plenty of obstacles that came along with that. But one of the key things that set us apart was our focus on building communities-or more importantly building and developing leaders. Over the course of two decades we built what is now referred to as a learning organization-which has helped thousands of people achieve success in multiple arenas. I’m even watching the effect of it in our young children at home. From that environment and education we were able to help bring a roofing company into the SE Michigan area that is developing people who bridge the gap between homeowners and insurance companies to serve both parties. Our companies focus on developing people and systems to create a smooth functioning machine that produces results time and time again.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friends were in town for a week there’s probably a few fun things I would want to do. First I love to make sure everyone has experienced Sagano’s-in my opinion it’s the best hibachi you’ll ever eat. I would probably even suggest a Detroit Tigers game. And more than likely I would drive them to somewhere or something I’m currently dreaming on-right now it’s a piece of property in a certain town. But I also enjoy a great cup of coffee and finding out what’s currently driving them.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There has been 3 key business mentors I have learned a lot from. Those 3 men would be Chris Brady, Bill Lewis and Terry Bignall. Books that have been really impactful to me are Pails and The Magic of Thinking Big. Also the Life community has helped me tremendously over the last 2 decades.
