Meet Brian Peck | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brian Peck and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brian, why did you pursue a creative career?
Well, to put it simply. It started as a creative outlet that just developed into a career. Going to O.C.C. to learn more about the craft, graduating with honors.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As with most who start out in this profession, or really any creative profession, It is part time and pursue to make it more of a full time career. The ups and downs are more than one would expect. The down is that it is highly saturated so it is tough to stand out. However, it is satisfying to do something someone likes and they pay you for it.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A week in Michigan, there are so many places to go! Spend at least one day in Detroit to see the riverfront and central area. Then let’s hit the road in a circle and head out to Lake Michigan and go up the coast line. Turning inward after a few days to the upper part of the lower peninsula. While getting across the bridge to the upper peninsula would be ideal, we only have a week. So let’s start heading back, stopping at small towns and road side treasures along the way.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Honestly there hasn’t been a lot of support in my pursuit of this. My family to an extent though they didn’t understand it. My son is the only one who really has been inspired. My girlfriend helps with concepts, which is interesting to do. There is not anyone that gave the break that was needed to extend out. So really God is what it comes down to as far as giving the concept and idea.
