Meet Bridget Baird | Meditation & Mindset Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bridget Baird and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bridget, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
I think balance is such a delicate and necessary thing. I believe everything should be done in moderation; too much of anything is too much. For me, balance shifted when I made it a core value. Once I made that choice, it was very important to me that I didn’t spend 40 hours a week at the office. For me, that wasn’t a healthy balance, so I took steps to improve that! I think COVID really opened people’s eyes to the positive impact of having a healthy work-life balance.
What should our readers know about your business?
Bridge To The Youniverse is an empowering service-based business owned and operated by me, Bridget Baird. My purpose is to help clients discover their highest self and improve their overall well-being through a range of holistic and spiritual practices, such as meditation, mindfulness, sound healing, energy healing and alignment, and crystal healing.
I began my meditation journey 11 years ago, hoping to relieve the pain associated with Crohn’s Disease. Little did I know that it would completely revolutionize my life in every way imaginable. Before, I was a sick and unhappy person, but now I’m positive, healthy, and absolutely in love with life. After experiencing the positive effects of meditation firsthand, I felt inspired to share the practice with the world. I subsequently obtained my Masters of Wisdom and Meditation Teacher Certification from the Davidji Academy of Meditation, and I’ve been teaching for the past four years.
Bridge To The Youniverse was born in 2020, and like many entrepreneurs, I encountered obstacles along the way. To make ends meet while establishing BTTY, I had to continue to work for other businesses. This gave me the opportunity to acquire the skills I needed to run my own small business, and in 2023 I was able to take the plunge and commit to Bridge To The Youniverse as a full-time venture.
If you’re interested in discovering how meditation or any of my other services can help you reach your goals and enhance your well-being, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Your future self will thank you.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting, I would start by taking them to Coriander Kitchen and Farm in Groose Point. Then, I would take them on a little tour of the state! I love to camp, so hopefully, the weather would be kind enough to let us camp out near the beach. I personally love Port Cresent in Port Austin.
From there, we would go to Traverse City and hit the spa. I love a mix of adventure, relaxation, and fun on my vacations, so I would do my best to provide that for them. Since we’re in the wine region of the state, a wine tour would be a must.
After spending a few days exploring, we’d return to the Meto-Detroit area and indulge in city life! Takoi, Pops for Italian, or Mad Nice for Dinner. Cafe d’Mungos, Queens Bar, or Two-James for drinks.
I grew up in the country so I’d also take them to my local bar in Romeo, MI, Thee Office Pub, and show them small-town life.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First, I must shout out to my supportive and loving husband, Steven. Thank you for loving me, picking me up when I’m down, believing in me, and supporting me. You’re the best Husband and Dog-Dad. Luna and I are so lucky.
Next, I’d like to thank my Front Row. The people who have unconditionally supported, loved, and cheered me on. This includes my incredible parents, Jan and Joe, my brothers, Shane and Connor, and my “sisters,” Paige, Kylie, Kenzie and Keara. I’m grateful to have a long front row or “crowded table” encompassing my extended family, in-laws, and cherished friendships.
Finally, I, of course, have to shout out to my teacher, Davidji. His wisdom and teachings created a foundation for my success built on trust, love, and action.
It truly takes a village, and I owe it to these people for believing in me, even when I didn’t necessarily believe in myself.
