Hi C., we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Ever since a small child I’ve conducted and managed businesses. From selling candy, bartering erasers, pencils and trading cards in elementary age, I knew I always wanted ownership! Didn’t know exactly how corporate business worked, but I was sure it was for me. Little did I know, I was already running a business, and have spearheaded or been involved in creating/opening/scaling companies ever since! It’s a passion for me, and it just makes sense numbers wise. With this brand it was a no brainer. We studied the market and saw a lane where we could add value. We’ve thrived thus far, now we’re ready to teach our community our proven business techniques.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
DetroitCulture® disrupted the market when it first began to blossom a few years ago. Cutting edge designs and guerilla marketing/sales all pushed us to make a nice sized splash initially! Now our focus is taking our brand to higher levels. We love our growth and business knowledge retained since launching in 2020, (we understand there’s always something new to learn). Building a brand isn’t easy but it’s not interstellar travel, with some vision, due diligence and discipline, you can make it happen! Finding high quality mentors and like-minded individuals was much harder than creating and growing a company. Once you change your mind your mind changes you – “C.Cash”. Along the way I’ve learned to let my inner light guide me, it’s ok to stand alone in your vison (that’s why you were given the vision, not someone else), and to look for the lessons in everything I’m aware of. The message I want our brand to give the world is “don’t stop believing, if you believe you can achieve, dream big because the dream is free, and there’s literally nothing you can’t accomplish with discipline – information and execution of that information.”
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It really depends, it’s situational, but we could go a few different places. no particular order.
