Meet Dave Behm | Senior Art Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dave Behm and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dave, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
The older I get, the more I see how important it is to have a balance between work and life. I care more about spending time on things that really matter, like family, friends, and taking care of myself.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Started out as a graphic designer and have moved my way up to Senior Art Director. I also do freelance on the side and have picked up digital painting and drawing. With the uptick of AI, I am finding it more important to create things organically and by hand. I have learned that you should always be trying new things and push yourself to create art as much as you can, and to keep the creativity flowing.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my friend tailgating at the Big House and Ann Arbor before a big game, then visit some of the local breweries in the area, Salt Springs, and Moth Fire, then dinner at Knights.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
To be honest no one in particular, but I do get inspired almost everyday by people that do whatever they can to be the best they can be. No matter what the field is, i get inspired to be the artist I am by being inspired by people that are at their best.
