Meet Donia Mannino

We had the good fortune of connecting with Donia Mannino and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Donia, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I am of mixed heritage; my mother hails from Nigeria, while my father is Italian. I was born in Nigeria and spent the majority of my adolescence there. Growing up in a Christian household, my life has revolved around Christ. For me, Christianity transcends religion; it is about the person of Jesus. Learning to be Christ-centered daily has profoundly impacted my life. I came from humble beginnings, having very little, and for a time, it was just my mother and me until we relocated to Italy, where I spent most of my life. Growing up in an environment that demanded hard work to achieve one’s goals has been a solid foundation for me. Over the years, I have embraced the mantra of “dream it, believe it, and pursue it.”
I have always been a diligent worker, overcoming numerous insecurities along the way. I firmly believe that my determination has been a key factor in leading me to where I am today.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Creating content is an art form that demands time, creativity, and persistence to get started. Just as all artists require various tools, we creators also need resources that enhance our imaginative process. Content creation involves more than simply standing in front of a camera, talking, or showcasing outfits and products. I know many might disagree, as the behind-the-scenes work often goes unseen; however, what is visible to others is the final product. As a content creator, I often find myself as a one-person show. While some creators have assistance, that’s not the case for me. Juggling the roles of photographer, videographer, set designer, stylist, and editor is no easy feat—it can be quite isolating and challenging. Each day presents its own set of hurdles, but I persevere by believing in myself and my work, hoping it positively impacts someone’s life or inspires other women facing fashion dilemmas. The lesson I’ve learned is that everyone is unique, and comparing myself to others only leads to heartache and unnecessary anxiety. Today, I want the world to know that everydaydonia is not just another Instagram handle but a real person—a woman fueled by creativity and passion, eager to share her love for fashion with everyone.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Michigan is an incredibly beautiful state, offering countless sights and activities. I reside in the small town of Coloma, located in southwest Michigan, which many may not have heard of, but it’s close to cities by the lake, such as South Haven and Saint Joseph. To be honest, I’ve only lived in the U.S. for ten years and am still discovering new places. Recently, my best friends visited for the first time, and we enjoyed some family-friendly activities, like the exhilarating dune rides in Saugatuck, which provided stunning scenery and rich history.
Another great option is exploring Saint Joseph:
– Visiting the beach
– Letting the kids have fun at the splash pad
– Riding the famous carousels
– Grabbing lunch at Silver Beach Pizza, followed by a quick trip to my favorite frozen yogurt shop, Hoopla.
For a romantic date night, my husband and I usually head to New Buffalo. My top choice for dinner is the Terrace Room, known for its upscale ambiance. Our second favorite is The Stray Dog, which offers a delightful menu and quick service. we also love to listen to live music at Warner Vineyards.
When my friends from Italy came to visit, they were thrilled to see classic American cars and had a fantastic time at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners. It’s a wonderful family-friendly destination filled with fascinating history.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Where do I begin? The list is certainly lengthy, haha! First and foremost, I am who I am today because of Jesus. Without His grace, I would have nothing. My family has been my rock, showering me with so much love that it fuels my drive to inspire others every day. My friends have also been incredibly supportive, always cheering me on.
Today, I want to acknowledge one special person who truly deserves recognition: my husband, Anthony Mannino. I often say, “he is the better part of me,” always there to lift me up when I feel like giving up. His words of encouragement ignite my passion. Anthony has a huge heart; I’ve witnessed his dedication to caring for our family, which is truly inspiring.
I remember when I expressed my desire to start a blog, and he urged me to go for it. He believed in me even before I believed in myself. He encouraged me to pursue my degree, and now I am a proud college graduate. With a keen business sense and a love for fixing things, he turned his passion for repairing scooters into a successful side venture.
Every day, I am inspired by having a husband who embodies inspiration and dedication. So today, I just want to say thank you, Anthony, for everything you do and for continuing to inspire others. All my love to you!
