Meet Erinn Schultz | Fine Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Erinn Schultz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erinn, what principle do you value most?
I heard it said that wonder is to wisdom what flavor is to cooking. A life without wonder is just mere existence. Wonder is that which propels is to dream, to create, to achieve a better, more beautiful place for everyone to thrive.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
From my earliest memories, I have been creating art. I took as many art classes as possible, during and after school. Creating art was , and still is, a refuge. When I create, it seems that time stands still and the noise around me and unsure me fades. Through my art, I hope to invite others to experience rest, joy, and peace.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d pack out bags and head Up North to Petoskey. First stop is North Perk Cafe for cappuccinos. We’d hit the bike path that extends into Charlevoix. Cruise through the art galleries and shops in Petoskey, eat at Palette Bistro and enjoy the views of Lake Michigan. I’d also keep going up and venture into the UP, exploring Pictured Rocks via kayak. Jump black rocks.
Back in the mitten, my favorite places are Planet Rock climbing gym, Stoney Creek metro park, and the DIA .
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
To my late Grandma Isabel, who gave me my first sketchbook at age 3. Who would do art exhibits of my crayon drawings, complete with fancy foods and juice in wine glasses.
