We had the good fortune of connecting with So From Birth To Death and we’ve shared our conversation below.

So From Birth To Death, how do you think about risk?
We think that pursuing this is a risk in and of itself. Chasing this is chasing a big question mark. There is no way of knowing for sure whether or not this is going to work the way you want it to. This isn’t something where you get a degree, get some knowledge in the field, find a position, and then you’re on your way with guaranteed salary and so on. This is something that no matter how good you are, you still never know how it’s going to turn out. Big goals require big risks.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Firstly, being a duo is unique as it is, especially in the genre of heavy metal. It wasn’t something we initially intended on, but it turned out to be the best way to go for us. We enjoy being able to say that we are both able to handle and take on multiple roles within our band. It also has ensured that all parties share the exact same vision and practice the same values. We have been a band for nearly 10 years – since 2015. The majority of bands do not last that long. We believe that us sharing those same visions and values is a huge part in that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d definitely recommend visiting in the Summer, particularly in the week of the 4th of July. Bay City has one of the best firework shows in the entire country, and has for over 50 years, and consistently ranks among the top 10 shows in the nation. People from all over the world come to our city to see it.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to shout out Palm Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Saginaw, MI. Which is our jiu-jitsu gym that we both train at. Jiu-jitsu is a great form of teaching you to keep pushing when you’re on the verge of giving up. That is a trait that is largely required in this journey
