We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeff Voth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeff, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When i was first starting my Photography/Videography business, my thought behind it was simple. What is something i enjoy doing as hobby, and what would benefit the people around me. Photography is a great hobby of mine, and it something i love doing even if it’s not for a client. There is a huge variety of people who are interested in Media work such as other businesses and influencers. It’s a great way to make connections, and make a living.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Being a content creator, you feel as if you are always in a competition. Not as much with other people, but yourself more than anything. Everyone has a phone in their hand which is more than capable of taking the next viral video that sends them mainstream. It is hard to have confidence at first, always thinking you can do better. I always thought there has to be something that sets your work aside from others. From the start I was investing in high end products to help improve quality and productivity. You have to spend money, to make money. Buying high end equipment rather than cheap low quality products ensures production and quality are never compromised, always giving a good experience for the client. Rather than taking a risk to better myself, i’d rather ensure the comfort and confidence of my clients! Everyone loves a genuine relationship!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A few of my favorite spots in the area are in the city of Detroit. My favorite feature is that all three sporting arenas are miles away from one another. There is also a beautiful skyline that falls over the Detroit River. With tons of great restaurants, such as the legendary Coney Islands, there are tons of memories to be made Downtown Detroit! We would also have to do some automotive adventuring, since this is The Motor City. From Woodward, to Gratiot, and even Telegraph, there’s people cruising all year round! Tons of sports cars, from modern to retro, always on the road anywhere you go. Weekends are full of park and chill events hosted by all generations! A popular spot is M1 Concourse in Pontiac, a local racetrack that’s known by community.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out Buff X Customization in Dearborn, Michigan. Not only are they rated #1 in the city for all automotive customization, but they are a genuine group of guys with great mindsets and goals. The team is very motivating and supportive, getting business done like no other. They have had open arms allowing me into their business and sharing their lifestyle. We have grown a true connection that feels like family forever.
