Meet Jernē | R&B Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jernē and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jernē, what is the most important factor behind your success?
What keeps me on my toes is never getting comfortable with where I am or how things are going. It can always be better
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve been singing since I was a kid. It wasn’t until my junior year in high school when I decided to do the talent show and saw the reaction of all the girls that I realized “yeah, I’m doing this forever”. That’s as feeling I’d never felt before! A lesson I’ve learned is there are no rules in music, it either sounds & feels good or it doesn’t. I want the world to know that being vulnerable doesn’t make you vulnerable, be you be free. People will either accept it or not🤷🏾♂️
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my favorite places to eat here in Flint, Michigan are Blackstones (brisket mac) and Soggy Bottom (everything, especially the green tea shots & Moscow mule).
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God
