We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevica Towns and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kevica, what inspires you?
What am I inspired by? I am most inspired by those that go through hardships and they don’t let it define them. I find it fascinating how we all have a struggle, but because we have dreams we aim to succeed.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am still a developing neo soul old school genre singer out of Lansing. My branch is Detroit, MI and lately my roots have been calling my name. Challenges are inevitable, telling you that was my biggest challenge. I am still on the rise and because of that, it keeps me going. I am a forever youth Educator, I love the young and what it has to offer.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In my view, the most fun and exciting things do to with people who are dear to you are to explore places both of you have never explored. I think the most authentic love comes from what is unknown because you can’t expect anything. So, I’d go anywhere for a week and that being multiple states and cities and scenes.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank my most recent family 24karat studios. A modeling development agency that is all about what you give and Ive met some inspirational people along the way. I believe we all deserve and need to be credited for our resilience because times have been hard and sudden.
