Hi Kevin, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
Making the decision to build a team rather than remain a solo entrepreneur.

During college, I was known as “the creative guy.” I did basic website design, photography, and graphic design for friends and family. I loved seeing how these marketing services positively impacted small businesses. However, I soon realized that artistic work like designing and editing actually drained my energy. Instead, I felt energized by business development and project management.

This realization inspired me to hire our first team member—someone more skilled than me in their area of expertise. It was the best decision I ever made. It began a journey of surrounding myself with phenomenal team members who are passionate about their craft. Together, we’re stronger than we could ever be as individuals.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Every business has a story. Launch Kit gives businesses the chance to share their story. We use your branding, website, social media and ads as the medium for communication.

Launch Kit is a marketing agency located downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.

We’re most excited about teaming up with passionate entrepreneurs who have created a great product/service that positively impacts the community around us. Some of our favorite clients include restaurants, home-service companies, manufacturing companies and CPG companies.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
With our office located downtown, we’re blessed with the opportunity to spent quite a bit of time in the city. We love it. It’s the perfect blend of feeling like you’re in the know with regards to economic and business development while not being overwhelming.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I don’t think one single book/episode changed my life, but I do think consistently learning will move the needle. It’s like working out. Any one workout isn’t going to single-handedly change your health and wellness. Weekly consistency and life choices will.

Lately, my favorite book has been “Trust and Inspire.” My favorite podcast has been “How I Built This.”
