We had the good fortune of connecting with Kimberly Willis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kimberly, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson being in business has taught me was the power of being resilient. There are so many different factors operating a business and a lot of distractions. However, by staying focused, knowing why you’re in business and simply not just giving up has taught me a lot. Our businesses are worth fighting for! There are many companies that took years to get to where they are so that has taught me to keep goin!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am proud to be an entrepreneur that allows me to be flexible to be there for my family but also my health. I am a financial coach providing several financial resources to help families. This is especially important because of inflation and the need to provide direction to help make sure families are protected. I am also a boutique owner of 49Rose where I sell clothes and accessories to make you look and feel good. I also have another business where I uplift, encourage, and provide resources for cancer survivors under the business Survivors Corner.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Metro Detroit have some dope spots. For restaurants, Ruth Chris Steakhouse, Avalon Bakery downtown and even Unburger in Dearborn for vegans. Downtown Detroit has plenty of activities and places to visit.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family, my accountability partners, and church family have had a hand in helping me development in what I am today. Of course, with God in the forefront, I couldn’t be anything without Him. I’m thankful to have a husband that supports me including my children.
