Meet Kina Renee | Owner & Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kina Renee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kina, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting SeeTheGurls was like planting a garden of appreciation for the amazing women and girls in the entertainment industry. The idea sprouted from wanting to give a bunch of virtual flowers to those who rock but might not always get the recognition they deserve. So, consider SeeTheGurls a cheerful space where we make sure these fantastic individuals are showered with appreciation and applause for their awesome contributions to the entertainment world! 🌸✨
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As an artist and a woman navigating the twists and turns of the entertainment industry, I’ve learned firsthand the importance of encouragement and receiving those metaphorical flowers. It’s like a boost of motivation, a reminder that others see and appreciate the love and effort I pour into my work. Along the way, I’ve noticed a gap – a lack of recognition for those behind the scenes and those not backed by a major label. So, I embarked on a mission to create a space that shines a spotlight on all the incredible talents often overlooked, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their position, gets the encouragement and flowers they truly deserve. 🌼💖
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So, if a friend of mine was visiting, We’d kick off Saturday with some live vibes at Willis Show Bar. Sunday’s brunch at Petty Cash, followed by cheering on the Lions – and of course, hitting up Sweet Potato Sensation for some sweetness! Monday’s the ultimate chill day with Jerry’s Pizza and barbecue delivery. Taking it easy on Tuesday, and then on Wednesday, we’re hitting the dance floor at Spot Lite. It’s the perfect mix of good times and great eats.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents, siblings, best friends and village.

Great Talent! She can really sing and nice to look at too. Those eyes of hers! There is nothing more beautiful than a talented woman with courage and focus. I really like her songs. I would love to hear her sing a few jazz songs. Her voice is very smooth.
