Meet Lauren Czarniecki | Principal Designer and Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Czarniecki and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lauren, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I went to school for Interior Design and had worked with multiple different firms in different locations and with different aesthetics and felt that I was coming up with my own personal, unique style with my clients. I was getting push back from my current employer on that aesthetic because it was changing from his own and I knew it was time for me to leave and start my own path.
I had established some great relationships with clients and received multiple referrals and had the opportunity to express my design aesthetic with my client’s personal needs to create beautiful interiors I’m proud of.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Czar Interiors, my work is deeply informed by a unique blend of experience and cultural exposure. With roots in construction and a passion for historic architecture, I bring a layered understanding of both structure and design, honed through hands-on experiences ranging from Southern homes to international settings. My background in renowned design studios and global study adds a fresh perspective, merging the relaxed elegance of Southern California with the timeless allure of South Florida. Certified and licensed, I emphasize both creativity and precision, curating spaces that are rich in history, globally inspired, and expertly crafted to reflect my clients’ lifestyles and aspirations. This approach makes Czar Interiors distinct in its dedication to personalized, sophisticated, and artfully balanced design.
The journey has been one of hard work and long nights. I’ve been working in interior design since I went to school for it, and I’ve learned that you have to remain passionate about the small things—the details that spark imagination and creativity. Whether it’s finding new finishes or selecting furniture that inspires, it’s that drive that keeps me excited. The support from my team, my family, and my colleagues has been invaluable. Their trust and encouragement, along with client referrals, have played a huge part in growing the business.
One key lesson I’ve learned along the way is the importance of being organized and covering your bases. From the beginning to the end of a project, I make sure everything is meticulously planned and executed. Being clear with the client about what is going to happen ensures that nothing is left to chance. One thing that has always stood out as one of the hardest parts of the job is picking out paint colors. It’s challenging, and honestly, can be overwhelming, but we’ve worked hard to create a set of standardized go-tos to streamline the process and make it easier for both our clients and our team.
What I’m most proud of, however, is my team. The relationships we’ve built and the incredible work we’ve accomplished together over the years is a constant source of inspiration. We grow as a unit, learning every day and staying passionate about our mission to help our clients. As I look toward the future, I’m excited about the opportunities ahead—especially our collaborations with local developers and the custom new construction homes we are creating. I can’t wait to share these new ventures with everyone, as they represent the next evolution of Czar Interiors.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Here’s how I’d spend a week in Palm Beach with a friend! We’ll start by exploring the Norton Museum of Art and then grab a bite at The Colony Hotel. The next day, we can stroll through the Society of the Four Arts and relax in Norton Park before hitting Pioneer Linens and Hive Boutique for some shopping. On Saturday, we’ll check out the Green Market—the largest farmers’ market in Florida—then shop at Callidus Home & Decor for unique finds and have a sushi dinner at Imoto Sushi. We’ll end the night with trivia at Swiftie’s. We’ll also make time for a visit to the Flagler Museum and chill at Phipps Ocean Park, followed by dinner at The Breakers. Later in the week, we can shop on Worth Avenue, explore the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens, and enjoy a meal at Buccan or La Goulue. On our last morning, we’ll take a peaceful walk along Lake Trail before heading home. It’ll be the perfect mix of art, food, shopping, and relaxation!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to Kelly Wearstler. Her influence has been instrumental in shaping my design creativity. I had the privilege of interning with her right after design school, and during that time, she opened my eyes to new and fascinating materials, as well as innovative ways to work and present concepts to clients. Her mentorship has truly broadened my perspective and approach, and I’m incredibly grateful for the lessons I learned.
I also want to give credit to my design teacher, Keren Myers, a professor at Florida State University (FSU). She taught my History of Interiors course and managed the study abroad program in Florence, Italy, where I had the chance to learn firsthand about the world of design in Italy. Her guidance on how to use historical references in interior design has been invaluable and shaped the way I approach design today.
