We had the good fortune of connecting with Noelle Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Noelle, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
After gaining valuable experience freelancing for a bridal hair and makeup company for a few years, I realized my passion for the industry and my desire to create my own business. Working at weddings regularly deepened my love for this work, and I became confident in my ability to manage both independent artistry and a team. This venture allows me to offer clients the highest quality service and a memorable experience.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My passion for beauty started young. From setting up makeshift salons in my neighborhood to pursuing formal education in cosmetology, my dedication to my craft has always been unwavering. After graduating and earning my license in 2015, I found my calling in bridal hair and makeup. Captivated by the transformative power of beauty, I immersed myself in this niche, honing my skills through ongoing education and styling numerous events. For me, my career isn’t just a job- it’s a love affair. I thrive on the connections I make with my clients and enjoy empowering them with each transformation. From intimate gatherings to lavish celebrations, my work takes me to stunning locations and introduces me to extraordinary people. My infectious love for my work is undeniable. My career offers a unique blend of artistry and adventure. The journey itself is an added bonus- from meeting incredible people to witnessing breathtaking locations.

My passion for artistry shines through in every aspect of my work. With a deep love for updo styling, I thrive on creating stunning hair looks that bring my clients vision to life. Seeing the joy in their eyes after a service is what drives me every day and fuels my love for my profession. My expertise extends to bridal makeup, where I discovered a profound connection between makeup and self-expression. It has become my creative outlet, allowing me to explore endless possibilities and fully express my inner world as an artist. I created Viva La Glam in 2018 as a platform to continue my journey in the beauty field. Connecting with incredible individuals worldwide and being a part of their special moments fills me with excitement and gratitude.

Viva La Glam’s team is an award winning team of 35 that is great with large bridal parties and will travel anywhere in Michigan. We are dedicated to creating romantic, timeless hairstyles with naturally radiant ethereal makeup for all skin types and tones. We can curate looks for anyone who sits in our chair. On top of that, we are fast & efficient!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take a friend who is visiting the area to the city. Downtown Detroit always has exciting events going on. We would grab a bite and drinks at Mootz Pizzeria + Bar and then check out Campus Martius.

If this was during the fall, I would take my friend to Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill as well. We would get donuts and cider while enjoying the fall themed events.

If this was during the summer, I would take my friend to Clinton River near Sterling Heights for kayaking. We would stop at Screamers Ice Cream shop for dessert afterwards.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I gained valuable insights into running my own business through a Facebook group called Glossible Weddings. I am particularly grateful to Sonia Roselli for her guidance, which provided a strong foundation for my business.
