We had the good fortune of connecting with Olivia Schenkel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Olivia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset and knew one day I wanted to be my own boss while impacting the world in some way. While the idea of creating a business is fun, it also takes a lot of work and has many challenges. I researched and spoke with other business owners to find my path. I took the money saved during Covid and invested all of it into this brand, All In Fit. At first All In Fit started as a small dream to show others they can create their own definition of success and their dream life, you just have to be “all in”. Soon it became more than that by creating sustainable, eco-friendly products. All In Fit now empowers active lifestyles with sustainable, affordable, and high-performance activewear while minimizing environmental impact.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
With clothing being such a competitive market, I’d the one thing that sets All In Fit apart of other brands is the owner, ME! Not only do I want to bring my customers the most flattering, comfortable clothing, but I also want to change the impact on the environment any way that I can through sustainable, slow fashion. All In Fit gives back to the community as well by donating 5% of sales each year to three charities, Rainforest Alliance, Mental Health America, and American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. There have been many challenges along the way, such as a lot of clothing competitors, bad feedback, slow sales months, etc. The one most important message I learned was to never give up on your dreams.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my best friend to dessert oasis coffee roasters for a coffee and a sweet treat. The latte art and taste of coffee is amazing! I would take her to Thai Inn Rochester for a bite to eat. We’d probably take a nice walk on the Paint Creek Trail and enjoy some ice cream at Sanders in Downtown Rochester. Also, I’d introduce her to my gym Eclipse Rochester. We’d spend some time shopping at little boutiques in Rochester and Royal Oak.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Nastassia Ponomarenko. Nastassia is a fitness influencer who started her own clothing brand from scratch and posted many videos on her business journey beginning to present. She also wrote a book called From Dust to Discipline which changed my entire mindset on all aspects of my life. After reading that I knew I was in control of what my dream life could and will look like.
