Meet Parrish Gamblin | Owner operator. Stone specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Parrish Gamblin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Parrish, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own company was that I wanted to do something for myself ever since I was a kid. I get a sense of pride and fulfillment when I can confidently tell someone I can take care of whatever project you need. I also always dreamed of having a place that can feed and provide for all the friends I made throughout this journey. There is nothing I like more than helping people I care about and this business lets me do just that, whether it be an income for them or just having the means to help them in other ways.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started this business at first just to dip my toes in the water and prove to myself I could do something more than just clock in every day. I am most proud of the finished product we provide in EVERY kitchen on EVERY countertop we create. Nothing makes me happier than when a customer can’t stop raving about how much they love their new space. This has not been easy there is a lot of stress being unsure of where your next paycheck would be coming from, but with the help of Gina I’ve been able to make ends meet and stay on track. I want the world to know that we provide a great experience from the moment you call to the moment we leave your house. My customer relations and my ability to walk a client through the whole process and help with design along with sourcing material sets me apart from everyone else.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend visiting and I wanted to show them a good time some of the spots I would consider are caché for cocktails, I love a good cocktail and I think caché makes very creative and tasty drinks! We are spoiled with food in our city, but a few that stand out to me are, The Ardmore, zefs, and Hook! For some fun or maybe just to walk off some of the calories blossom heath is a beautiful park, or you can always take a walk down lakeshore by the water. Not too far away is grosse pointe and they have one of my favorite places to eat in Michigan, The Charlevoix. For fun I would take them to downtown Detroit there are many fun things to do such as feather bowling, seeing a show, or just taking a stroll down the riverwalk!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out my girlfriend Gina Impastato, she has been my rock and believes in me more than I do sometimes. She has gone above and beyond to help provide for me while I have been trying to get my business off the ground. I can’t thank her enough I am so lucky to have her. Blaise from Sir Grout greater Detroit. He has been a great business mind as a resource to help me make decisions and come up with ideas to generate work. Last I want to shout out my partner Josh Horton. He has double the amount of experience I do and he gives me the confidence to say yes to any job stone related, I know a lot and I have put in 8-9 years myself working for other companies but if he can’t do it no one can.
