We had the good fortune of connecting with Ricardo Cottengim and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ricardo, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I want to help bring financial freedom to regular hard working people. Helping others is what fulfills me professionally.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being an investor in real estate and starting from scratch myself is what sets me apart. I can provide a real life perspective as to how the average hard work person can find whatever level of financial freedom they are looking for in their own personal plan. Being able to share my experience allows people to know that their dreams are possible too.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My wife and I are huge foodies, we love to try new restaurants all over the city. Kawa in Rockford is one of our favorite sushi places. Pind is the best Indian food in the city. I enjoy going to watch the Grand Rapids Gold one of my favorite clients Trey Conner works for the gold and takes care of me when we attend. Lastly I love baseball and i have season tickets to the whitecaps, it is a great experience everything we go.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost my wife. She allowed me to quit my old profession and chase my dream of working for myself.
Second Bryan Cody my business partner and broker. Meeting him and having him support me have changed my life.
Lastly my children, the reason I get up and find every day. I hope to leave them with a real estate fortune that can help fund their dreams.
