We had the good fortune of connecting with Ricky Pannell Jr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ricky, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I consider what my business does for the community is a “waterfall effect.” By providing relief via massage, not only does the client benefit, those they encounter on a daily basis and in their travels will also be able to get a taste of their residual rejuvenation. What’s that old saying, “How can I be a benefit to others if I forget to take care of myself first.”

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m most proud about the steady growth my business has been experiencing since its inception. Like any other business, there were growing pains (cancelled appointments, days of NO APPOINTMENTS, mocking here and there haha), however that only added to my resolve. I persevered and stuck to being personable and provided the best service possible to those that booked with me.

The biggest lessons I’ve learned are: authenticity and integrity above all AND relationships are key!

RPG Ventures encompasses a multitude of services however the mission is stated in the acronym: Real People Gain! My story and brand are all about success gained by hard work, consistency, persistence, integrity, and authenticity!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Pending the time of the year, MSU campus is great spot for college basketball tailgating for football fans. There’s too many food options to choose from to be honest. You can’t miss with Acapulco Mexican Cuisine, Zaytoon’s, Hong Kong, I can go on for days!

I just recently checked out the Graduate Rock Bar and they had a dope rooftop view of campus and the indoor setup was interesting in itself.

The Lansing River Trail is great for all my outdoor enthusiasts!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The books include: Laws of Human Nature by Robert Greene, The Holy Bible, and 50 Things A Gentleman Should Know A myriad of people throughout my life have all added to my success throughout the years. Whether it had been a word of encouragement, chopping it up for a few minutes, a quick excerpt or even something in my email, I’ve always tried to be alert for any opportunity for growth.
