Hi Suhair, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
From my early childhood, I cherished playing makeup games with my sister, always taking on the role of the makeup artist. As the years went by, my love for makeup grew, and I found joy in assisting family and friends with their makeup needs. Fast forward to a period where I dedicated five years to being a stay-at-home mom. Once my kids started school, I realized it was the opportune moment to pursue my passion professionally.

Encouraged by the positive feedback from those I had helped, I decided to embark on a journey to transform my love for makeup into a fulfilling career. This marked the beginning of my professional venture as a makeup artist, a path that allowed me to merge my lifelong passion with my newfound dedication to making a meaningful impact in the beauty industry.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
In my work and career, I stay updated on the latest makeup trends and continuously learn new techniques. I use only the best products to ensure my clients receive high-quality makeup. When working with clients, I provide various options and let them choose what they prefer while offering my recommendations. I also take the time to teach them about makeup, explaining what I’m doing and why, so they can understand and feel confident in their choices.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When friends come to visit, I happily take on the role of a home chef, delighting in the process of preparing delicious meals for them. Alongside these cozy home-cooked moments, I plan enjoyable outings to nature parks, ensuring we indulge in scrumptious desserts at quaint places and explore the lively atmosphere of Downtown Grand Rapids.

I also make sure to include a bit of makeup shopping in our plans, sharing the excitement of discovering new products and trends together. To make their visit memorable, I take my friends to the zoo for a day filled with fun and to the serene lakes in West Michigan for a tranquil and scenic experience. These moments not only bring joy to our time together but also create lasting memories of our shared adventures.

As I express my gratitude, I want to give a shoutout to my family, friends, and my husband for always supporting me. And, of course, a heartfelt thanks to my clients, as before them, who inspire me to keep going and give them the best I can.
