We had the good fortune of connecting with Zamari Shakur and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zamari, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
There are people who give up as soon as they suffer their first failure.

And there are people who refuse to give up even after suffering failures repeatedly.

The wise people are those who neither give up too quickly, nor they refuse to give up at the right time.

The key to a happy and successful life is to know when to pursue something and when to give up.

No it was not easy I can say it was the man above. I had to take classes so I can comprehend and communicate better because everything I did was backwards because dyslexic. I learned you can do anything if you believe in yourself and the only competition is yourself try to be better then you were the next day . Set boundaries, value your time, try not to make it easy to be reachable because it gives you value when you do reach out . Shows people that when you do answer the phone or reach out it’s genuine. I want the young men to know stay out of trouble , learn the law because the system will put you at the bottom of the food chain .

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you are visiting Grand Rapids good place to go is Coopers Hawk Winery , good customer service. Now if you want real food at roger plaza go to KO Meals by Siri , you will get your money worth and great customer service. Another place to visit is Designer Dug Out for jewelry and good customer service. Wiz Khalifa & Snoop Dog vist there and did business there . Now another place to go check out is Woodys Bowling alley

Shout to Chris Olsen for teaching me structure and hard work and push me to get a trade as a industrial electrician. Shout Out to my brother bubba cope for always pushing me to never give up no matter how tuff my situation is . Shout Out to Woot for taking a chance with me on the Videography and Photo Shoot. If it was not for Woot I would never attempted acting or modeling.
