We had the good fortune of connecting with Kiara Binion and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kiara, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my business and success is relationships. Though I believe and know I have talents along with skills, building meaningful relationships has taken me so far. A huge goal behind my business is to ensure every experience I am allowed with my clients is a positive one and that I can add a smile to their day. Having this mindset changes not only the environment I am in but allows the correct and right people to come my way making expanding a breeze and providing success.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart about my business is my drive to help others and my mindset on customer service. My number one goal is to make sure all my clients feel their best and I carrot to all their needs.

Getting to where I am now has been a growing journey and I still have so much to learn. I started out working/collaborating with others and brands to get my name out there. Yes there were challenges but I always had to keep in mind the end goal. That I will persevere because I know what I desire for my future and where God wants to line up my life.
Lessons I learned all the way would be giving myself grace. We are our own biggest critics at times and sell our selves short so much to where we fail before we even begin. You have to push yourself yet be gentle. Know that this is a marathon and not a race.

I want the world to know that everyone has a purpose and a gift. Work your gift and it will make room for you!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were coming from out of town I would hands down take them to down town Detroit! I absolutely love everything about the downtown area. I would take her to townhouse for amazing drinks and ambiance then to Cadillac square to sight see. The next few days we would visit the dia, the science center, the African American museum, and visit a few jazz bars.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to dedicate my shout out to two very special people in my career one being my close friend and stylist Brit Brit. Not only being amazing at what she does but she motivates me to continue to push myself further and is a firm example of what success looks like. Second would be my makeup mentor Rashida. She is the definition of a power house. Having a thriving business yet remaining and staying take to herself, friends and family. She has taken me under her wing as if I was hers and it warms my heart to be reviewed with so much love and wisdom.
