We had the good fortune of connecting with Dele Nguyen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dele, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Having dabbled in entrepreneurship long before venturing into photography, I was well-acquainted with a prevalent issue for startups: finding quality branding services that is affordable. Dele Nguyen Photography specializes in addressing this challenge with the motto “let’s make creating quality digital content fun AND affordable.”

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being an adoptee, the journey of self-discovery has always been a challenge for me. I grappled with questions about my identity, aspirations, and direction in life. It wasn’t until I delved into entrepreneurship within my creative realm as a photographer that I truly began to explore my personal identity. The rapid growth, both personally and professionally, has been daunting, yet incredibly fulfilling—the fulfillment I’ve long sought after. Because of this insight I find my supportive role in other people’s entrepreneurial journeys that much more rewarding.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When hosting a visiting friend for a week, my itinerary would feature tacos and tequila at La Jalisciense, exploring Capital Park and Campus Martius on scooters, catching a Tigers game or a concert at Little Caesars Arena, bar-hopping at Queens, Deluxe Flux, and The Skip, and indulging in Mootz Pizza to soak up all the alcohol. Saturday mornings would be spent supporting local businesses at Eastern Market, followed by brunch at The Breakfast Loft.
