We had the good fortune of connecting with Lee Ann Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lee Ann, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I have always loved expressing my creativity, it’s therapeutic for me. I love to see my ideas take shape and come to life and I absolutely love seeing someone else enjoy pieces I’ve created. Teaching crafty and creative classes just sort of happened and I fell in love with it! I get to be creative and I get to teach others to be creative. There is so much joy in the entire process especially when a person finished a project and they light up with excitement! I’m so grateful to have so many opportunities to share these creative experiences with others.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have always been crafty and creative and I’ve always wanted to have a business where I could create and share my creations with others. I started redoing and repurposing furniture in 2015 and selling the pieces and that grew into creating home decor. Around 2018 a friend asked me to take an online course she was creating for herbal health and wellness and that course opened up a whole new passion for me, I started learning about herbalism and eventually took more classes and became certified in herbalism, cannabis counseling, EFT and reiki and Started my business Beeautiful Herbals with the help and partnership of my friend Krista. We still operate that business and we teach health and wellness classes too. Creating is a passion and sharing, inspiring and teaching others brings me so much joy and I love to travel. I’m blessed to be able to combine all of these and make a business of my passions and share those as I travel throughout our great state! I’m so excited to see what’s in store for Wild Daisy Creative and to watch the transformation and growth of my business and the communities around Michigan that I get to work with.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I grew up in the thumb, the beaches up there are amazing and some of my favorite places to relax! Really any of the Michigan lakeshore is a must see! Hiking in the Upper Peninsula with its beautiful views! I’ve traveled to so many cute and fun towns around the state there are to many to name here.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My sons have inspired and supported my dreams and I’m so thankful for them! They run their own business, Walkers Landscaping, we help and support each other’s businesses every chance possible. Uplift Creative center was the shop I started teaching in and Cindy was so helpful and supportive. Blue Butterfly Thrifts and Gifts was one of the first shops to sell my art and Rebekah took over and our partnership grew into a friendship. I’ve had so many amazing opportunities, Eventz 4 Change non profit organization, United We Go non profit organization, youth entrepreneur Exploring Bath Bombs, For Art’s Sake. I’ve had the pleasure of partnering with so many more amazing business owners and woman owned businesses in Michigan.
