We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christopher, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I grew up on the Eastside of Detroit, MI, in a low-income neighborhood where poverty and the impact of drugs were all too common. My family didn’t have much, but I was always taught that I could achieve anything I set my mind to. While I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do at first, I was determined to create a better life…not just for myself, but for my future kids. My goal has always been to break that cycle and ensure they don’t have to face the same challenges I did.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What truly sets me apart is my relentless work ethic, no one will outwork me. Starting my own business and building it from the ground up has one of my proudest achievements. The journey wasn’t easy, but it’s been worth every step, and I’m excited about what lies ahead for my business.

My success didn’t happen by chance. I studied the paths of those who came before me and learned heavily on the wisdom of my team leader, whose advice gave me the tools and confidence to keep going. The grind was real, and the challenges were tough, but I stayed focused, remained disciplined, and committed to my goals. For me, failure wasn’t an option, I had to make it work. I knew there was no turning back.

Above all, I want people to know that when it comes to real estate, I’m relentless. No matter the obstacle, I’ll find a way to get the deal done. My in real estate is Coach Chris, and that’s no accident. My years as a football coach taught me the value of teamwork, strategy, and perseverance…principles I now bring to every transaction. It’s that unique combination of grit and coaching mentality that truly sets me apart in this business.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to Detroit, I’d make sure he got a real taste of the city. We’d kick things off with brunch at Joe Louis Southern Kitchen – it’s a local hotspot and the food’s amazing. After that, we’d hit a few more top spots like The Block, Sexy Steak, and D Prime for some great meals. When it comes to drinks and just hanging out, we’d swing by Flood’s and One Mike – both are known for their lively atmospheres and good crowds. And no way we’d skip the Motown Museum – it’s a must-see. If it’s summer, I’d take him out on my boat to see the city from the water – the view from the Detroit River is unreal. Since he’s a golfer, we’d also get in a round at Chandler Park Golf Course. There’s so much to do and see here, and the city’s vibe and scenery are worth taking the time to really soak in.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are two people who have been instrumental in the success of my business. First, my best friend, Shantee Orr, a former NFL Linebacker and now a property developer in Houston, TX. He was the one who first encouraged me to step into entrepreneurship, take control of my time, and build the life I wanted. Second, my team leader, LaShawn Peterson, the real estate guru, has been an absolute angel on this journey. She believed in me even before I believed in myself, taught me everything I needed to know, and gave me the courage to push forward, even during tough times. Their guidance and support have been critical to my growth and success.
