We had the good fortune of connecting with Alendrea Dantzler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alendrea, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
So when I began my business, I really wanted to focus on individuals like myself who were feeling awkward and not sure of where their place was in the world. Even the people with the most confidence sometimes can feel inadequate. The idea of YAE Cosmetics was built on my journey to find out who I am as a person, and to remind myself that I can do anything I set my mind to through my words and affirmations. The power of the tongue is a powerful tool we get to use daily, and I want to use it to empower others.

What should our readers know about your business?
Thank you for the opportunity to talk about my business! As a growing small business owner, it’s important to have milestones like these to measure success in every phase of the business.

You Are Enough or YAE Cosmetics is a luxury, vegan and cruelty-free cosmetic line that focuses on empowering those dealing with self confidence issues through affirmation based products. It’s definitely a mouthful!

Many cosmetic lines focus and at times prey on insecurities as a way to cover them up. At YAE, you’re already enough, we’re just here to remind you! We believe that through affirmation-based beauty and skin care, you can feel and become what you may be lacking, through products that make you feel good!

One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned as a company is that when it’s your time to shine, your gifts will speak and make room for you. Our gift is that we provide an experience that’s unforgettable and unique to every YAEBAE or YAEKING that may purchase from us.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Since YAE is a luxury brand, I’d have to take the most luxurious trip of course! We would have to take a trip to a beautiful tropical location with the most high end amenities! I would make sure to take our YAEFamily with us during the trip to show them something they might not be able to experience themselves! I’d love to experience the local culture, read, and shop there to fully absorb myself and have the most elite experience!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I truly wouldn’t be in the place that I am without God. Throughout my entire journey, he’s been the consistent love and guidance needed to push through my trials and tribulations. Next I’d like to thank my family and my close friends who push me to be better than I am every day, the ones that joke and laugh with me through pain, and help me when I’m in need. I love you all deeply!
