We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamila Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamila, what are you inspired by?
I’m inspired by anything and everything that I find visually appealing and that reflects my own personal style and values. I aim to be a creative and innovative individual who is constantly evolving.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is that I create content that I’m passionate about. I tell stories behind my outfits. I don’t just post photos of my outfits without any context. I share stories about where I bought the outfit, why I love it, and how to style it.

I’m most proud of the progress that has been made in fashion to be more inclusive and sustainable. In the past, fashion was often seen as exclusive and elitist. Today, there are more and more brands that are creating clothing for all body types, sizes, and genders.

I am also excited about the future of fashion. I believe that technology will play an increasingly important role in the fashion industry.

How did I get to where I am today professionally? I got to where I am today through a combination of hard work, dedication, and with the help of my support system. I’m constantly reading new books and articles, and I am always looking for new ways to challenge myself.

Was it easy, No!

I’ve learned to overcome the challenges by not being too hard on myself. Set small goals and work on them daily, especially when I’m feeling overwhelmed. I’ve also learned how to ask for help when needed.

The lessons I’ve learned along the way are first and foremost is to be yourself. People can tell when you’re being genuine, so it’s important to be yourself and to share your true personality. This will help you to build relationships.

Don’t be afraid to experiment. Fashion is all about having fun and expressing yourself. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different trends and styles. You might be surprised at what you like.

And lastly, don’t compare yourself to others. It’s easy to compare yourself to others, especially when they seem to have it all together. But it’s important to remember that everyone is different and that everyone has their own journey. Focus on your own goals and don’t worry about what other people are doing.

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I want the world to know that I am a fashion blogger who is passionate about using my platform to promote inclusivity. I believe that fashion should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their body type, size, or budget.

I want my brand to be known for its unique perspective on fashion. I want to show people that fashion can be fun and expressive. Don’t let your budget hold you back from dressing your best. I also want to inspire people to be confident in their own skin and to embrace their own unique style.

I want my story to be an inspiration to anyone who is pursuing their dreams. I want to show people that it is possible to achieve your goals, no matter what obstacles you face.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom for being my biggest cheerleader and supporter. And my friend Candace Emerson, who believes in me even when I don’t believe in myself.
