Hi Karey, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Beauty and fashion have always been a huge passion of mine so I turned it into my career.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My Story: Well my biggest achievement just happened – I won a 2024 Global Recognition Award for Innovative Formulations for my CBD alternative topicals and for Revolutionizing the Beauty Industry with Hopathekarey
I’m thrilled to share the story of Hopathekarey, a brand I founded in 2017 after discovering the incredible medicinal value of HOPS. As the pioneer of using hops as a hemp-free alternative, I’ve carved out a unique niche in the industry. My extensive research and development have earned me the title of “Terpenoid Queen,” solidifying my expertise in harnessing the power of terpenoids for skincare and wellness.
A Globally Recognized Brand
Under the Hopathekarey umbrella, I’ve created multiple collections, including Liberty Skincare and BulletProof Mineral Cosmetics. The latter launched on Broadway in 2023, solidifying my brand’s global recognition. On November 11, 2023, I took a leap of faith and opened my first storefront in WestWood Mall, formerly a Bath & Body Works location. This venture led to the filming of two TV shows: “Pitch Your Way to the Top” and “The BLOX” Season 18.
Clean Beauty Options and Innovation
I’m proud to offer the cleanest beauty options available, with a personal touch – I oversee every aspect of product packaging. The launch of our topicals has been a game-changer, with our BLEW ice pain topical selling out weekly. This journey has been challenging, balancing product development, branding, and labeling for over 250 products while navigating personal obstacles like a child custody battle.

My commitment to using hops as a hemp-free alternative, combined with my expertise in terpenoids, sets me apart in the industry. I’m dedicated to educating the world about the benefits of hops and terpenoids, and I’m excited to share my story and showcase the impact of Hopathekarey on the beauty industry.
