Meet Krystal Rain Bonner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Krystal Rain Bonner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Krystal Rain, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
My business helps by providing the community access to services that are beneficial to the mind, body and soul. My clients leave feeling rejuvenated, able to be more productive members of society, which helps the world.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
First I’d like to say I absolutely love what I do. My journey began with having health issues and wanting to find alternative healing modalities. I started to develope a passion for crystals energy work. Once certified in both I started offering services at Evenstar Chalice. An obstacle I have overcome is many people doubting what I do is real. I have encountered many that say “I don’t believe in that”. I had to learn that not everyone will believe in what I do and that’s ok.
I then started a job at Worksite Chair Massage as an office assistant. Working closely with massage therapist I began to wonder could I be a massage therapist? I had alot of self-doubt at first. I worried that it would be to much for me or that I may hurt myself. I also considered it could be good for me and maybe more people would take me seriously.
Ultimately I became a massage therapist and I’m so glad I did. I love being able to help people feel better.
During covid I devoloped a skin care line, created jewelry and other products to sell. I also worked for the app called Hearme and received extensive training on deep and active listening which is also a service I provide to my clients.
My services stand out because they are unique and tailored to the client.
I’m most excited about what the future holds for my career.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I also bartend at Ziggy’s part-time. It’s one of my favorite places so I’m definitely taking them there to show them a good time. Keystone is also a great place for karaoke and arcade games. For food Bellflower, Maiz, Los Amigos, and King Shing. Drinks the Wax Bar, Maiz and Ypsi Cocktail Club. Ypsi Ann Arbor has beautiful parks, so a walk or bike ride is a must.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to recognize my two mentors. Mo Fritz has encouraged and supported me throughout my career. She expose me to many great things including massage therapy. My other mentor Mara Evenstar gave me my start as a reiki practitioner and continues to be my teacher and ally.
