Meet Niya Williams | Multi-Talented Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Niya Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Niya, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
My love for art & passion for fashion is what helped me pursue my creative career, to purely create a space for self-expression. Not only just for myself, but for others who are also inspired to take the same path of expressive creativity. With the eyes of an artist/creative, everything becomes artwork. From the way you dress, to the breath you take, it’s all a form of art.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Every day, I’m most proud of being able to have a healthy environment to thrive and express my authenticity in. What sets me apart from others is my ability to embrace, adapt, learn & overcome any challenging situation that comes my way. Sometimes, the process wasn’t easy, other times, I flew right through it gracefully. The major lesson I’ve learned was to fully trust myself when it comes to where I’m going in life & the wisdom I’ve gained along the way, has also helped align & guide me to a life filled of adventure, pleasurable moments, success & fulfillment. One thing that everyone should know about me, is that I’m always going to manifest/align to the be best life/timeline for me & my people.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, On day 1 we’re definingly having a cookout as a celebration of their arrival. The following 2 days, we would go hiking at the most amazing nature parks in Muskegon, followed by dinner at my favorite restaurant in holland, Mizu Sushi. Day 4 would be a trip to Grand Rapids Zoo and the ice skating. Day 5, we’ll attend a local event followed by a quick stop for ice cream at Norm’s. Then on days 6 & 7, we’ll do some fun, at home activates like cooking a meal, movie/game night, or event making artwork.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My partner, family, friends, co-workers, mutuals and even the people who are no longer in my life, they all motivate me to keep going. Not only in my career, but also in my life. The all deserve the credit & biggest shoutout.
